October 2003 : Otay Fire, San Diego County, California : Cupressus forbesii at Otay Mountain.

October 2003 : Cedar Fire, San Diego County, California : Cupressus stephensonii at Cuyamaca Peak : between 30 to 50 adult trees left from an estimated population of 800 trees.

2006

February 2006 : Sierra Peak Fire, Orange County, California : Cupressus forbesii at Coal Canyon.

2007

July 2007 : Zaca Peak Fire, Santa Barbara County, California : Cupressus sargentii at Zaca Peak.

September 2007 : Moonlight Fire, Plumas County, California : Cupressus bakeri at Mud Lake.

October 2007 : Harris Fire, San Diego County, California : Cupressus forbesii at Otay Mountain and Tecate Peak.

2008

June 2008 : Martin Fire, Santa Cruz County, California : Cupressus abramsiana at Bonny Doon, main population of the species.

September 2008 : Fire on Guadalupe Island, Mexico : Cupressus guadalupensis : 520 hectares burned; report pending.

2020

August-September 2020: CZU Lightning Complex Fires, Santa Cruz & San Mateo Counties, California: Cupressus abramsiana, at Major Creek, Bracken Brae and Eagle Rock; the Bonny Doon population seems to have suffered less than the three others; Cupressus butanoensis at Butano Ridge, reports on the importance of the burned trees and regeneration are missing.

2021

July-October 2021: Dixie Fire, Plumas County, Califronia: Cupressus bakeri, at Mud Lake and Wheeler Peak, the two southernmost populations of that species.
